Set up 2FA for Figma

Before you start

Use a Figma account with password sign-in. Google or SAML SSO accounts must configure MFA with their identity provider instead.

Open the security settings

1. In the file browser, open your account menu → Settings → Security.
2. Choose Enable two-factor authentication, confirm your password and continue with the authenticator app option.

Connect Authenticator

Open Authenticator and choose +. Scan the setup QR code, or use manual entry if the service provides a setup key. Give the account a recognizable label and save it. Keep the QR code and key private.

Enter the six-digit app code in Figma and choose Verify.

Choose Continue to recovery codes and save them safely. Configure each Figma account separately.

If a code is rejected, check the account label and device time, then try a fresh code. Troubleshoot a rejected code.
