Set up 2FA for Indeed

Use Authenticator for the code-based authentication option offered by Indeed. Complete setup in Indeed before relying on the new entry.

Before you start

These steps apply to Indeed employer accounts, rather than the normal job-seeker sign-in flow.

Open the security settings

  1. Sign in to the employer account and open Security settings.
  2. Under Account protection, choose Add 2FA. Beside Authenticator App, choose Add.

Connect Authenticator

Open Authenticator and choose +. Scan the setup QR code, or use manual entry if the service provides a setup key. Give the account a recognizable label and save it. Keep the QR code and key private.

Enter the app verification code in Indeed and choose Confirm.

Keep a way back in

An employer using organization-managed single sign-on can have a different sign-in policy. If the option is unavailable, check with the administrator or Indeed support.

If a code is rejected, check the account label and device time, then try a fresh code. Troubleshoot a rejected code.

Official Indeed help

Based on the service’s official instructions, checked October 17, 2026. Available methods and labels can vary by account and app version.
