Set up 2FA for TikTok

Before you start

Keep access to your TikTok email or phone: setup requires at least two verification methods.

Open the security settings

1. In TikTok, open Profile → Menu → Settings and privacy.
2. Open Security & permissions → 2-step verification. Select Authenticator and at least one other available method.

Connect Authenticator

Open Authenticator and choose +. Scan the setup QR code, or use manual entry if the service provides a setup key. Give the account a recognizable label and save it. Keep the QR code and key private.

Enter the current app code in TikTok and finish with Turn on.

Complete any email or phone verification requested by TikTok. Keep those contact methods current so you have another way to verify.

If a code is rejected, check the account label and device time, then try a fresh code. Troubleshoot a rejected code.
