Before you start

Sign in to the Zoom web portal. Your administrator can control which verification methods are available.

Open the security settings

  1. Open Profile. Under Sign In, turn on Two-Step Verification if it is off and confirm your password.
  2. Beside Authentication App in Two-Step Verification, choose Set Up and follow the password confirmation.

Connect Authenticator

Open Authenticator and choose +. Scan the setup QR code, or use manual entry if the service provides a setup key. Give the account a recognizable label and save it. Keep the QR code and key private.

Choose Next in Zoom, enter the current six-digit app code and choose Verify.

Keep a way back in

Download or print the recovery codes Zoom provides, then choose Done. Keep them separate from the authenticator device.

If a code is rejected, check the account label and device time, then try a fresh code. Troubleshoot a rejected code.
